Crowe has advised French listed Getlink, better known as the owner of the Channel Tunnel, on the acquisition of ChannelPorts Ltd and CustomsPro Ltd.
Established in 1974 and based in Folkestone, Kent, ChannelPorts Ltd (ChannelPorts) has 44 employees and a revenue in 2023 of around £10 million. ChannelPorts offers comprehensive customs solutions which simplify cross-channel trade including data exchanges and improves the productivity of operations through its digital platform CustomsPro.
In addition to its customs clearance service activity, ChannelPorts owns a secure truck park facility and service area, Stop24, located on the M20 motorway in Folkestone, less than ten kilometres from the entrance to the Channel Tunnel.
