Crowe advised the shareholders of Total Motion Limited (Total Motion), a leading fleet management and vehicle leasing business, on the sale of the company to URA Ventures Limited, trading as GKL Leasing (GKL).
Established by Simon and Caroline Hill in 2003, Total Motion has built an outstanding reputation in the market through its comprehensive offering of fleet management, own-book leasing and daily rental solutions, in addition to its FCA-regulated lease broking platform, Pink Car Leasing.
Over more than two decades, the Hill family has successfully grown Total Motion into a major player in the UK fleet management and vehicle leasing sector, serving a diverse range of clients from national retailers, leading care groups and premier league football clubs through to personal leasing customers.
GKL’s management team represents the fifth generation of the Kenning family’s ownership of a business, which has been built over close to 150 years. James, Anthony and Richard Kenning, and interim Managing Director Robert Sayers, look forward to driving the combined businesses forward in partnership with Total Motion’s current leadership team of Claire Timms and Fraser Hill.
The Crowe team, led by Connor Tostevin, acted as lead advisers to the shareholders of Total Motion.
"Making the decision to sell the family business after the tragic loss of my husband and son was extremely difficult. However, Connor was exceptionally helpful and supportive from the outset, explaining the transaction process clearly, sourcing potential buyers, negotiating terms, overseeing due diligence and managing the sale through to completion. Connor was always available to provide insightful advice and regular updates, breaking down complex issues clearly and concisely and keeping on top of the process from start to finish"
