Disposal: Poundstretcher Limited
Poundstretcher, a long-established discount retailer based in Leicestershire, operates over 320 stores throughout the UK. A recognisable family-owned high street brand, Poundstretcher was established in 1981 and sells a variety of household and consumer goods including food, toiletries, homeware, and garden products.
This transaction, which represents a significant investment into the retail sector for Fortress, is expected to provide Poundstretcher with the resources and investment required to develop the business into the future.
US investment firm Fortress, has previously invested in the UK consumer industry, purchasing Majestic Wines and Punch Pubs within the past five years.
