Crowe has welcomed Mark Dyer as the newest partner in its well-established national VAT, Customs and International Trade practice, to further grow the firm’s corporate presence and lead its indirect taxes offering in the Midlands and Southwest.

With more than 30 years as a VAT specialist, Mark’s experience includes roles at multiple Big Four firms, as well as industry-side within a global hotel business and in the public sector at HMRC.

Mark brings extensive advisory experience across a variety of sectors, serving clients in manufacturing and distribution, professional services, membership and education bodies, and the wider public sector. Working in the Midlands, he has gained a deep understanding of the challenges facing local businesses, providing advisory support focused on effective compliance, maintaining strong relationships with tax authorities, and helping organisations to prepare for, and respond to, supply chain disruption and the increasingly data-driven filing requirements they are obliged to meet.

As businesses continue to navigate a rapidly evolving indirect tax environment in the UK and globally, VAT, customs and international trade issues will remain high on the agenda.

Mark will primarily be based in the firm’s central Birmingham office, which opened in 2025 at the prestigious Colmore Row address. The addition of the city centre office was a key part of the firm’s growth strategy and a signal of its commitment to supporting clients in the heart of the city’s dynamic business community.

Mark DyerMark Dyer, Partner at Crowe, says:

“Crowe has always had a strong reputation, delivering a high-quality service for clients locally and nationally. I am hugely excited to join the partnership and look forward to contributing to the continued growth of Crowe’s corporate presence and offering in the Midlands Southwest.”
