MySST Website Officially Launched by the RMCD

With 1st September 2018 being just around the corner, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (“RMCD”) has launched the official website for the public to access information related to Sales Tax and Service Tax.
 
You may click here to view the official website of the Malaysian Sales Tax & Service Tax (SST) for the latest announcements published by the RMCD.
 
Further to the above, please take note that with effect from 1st August 2018 onwards, existing GST registrants who are automatically liable to register for Sales Tax or Service Tax will be notified through a letter issued by the RMCD. In this regard, the RMCD has begun to issue such notices and has automatically registered GST registrants for the upcoming Sales Tax and Service Tax.
 
If your Company is currently a GST registrant, it would be advisable to monitor for such notices that may be sent to your Company.
