CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility

We are committed to giving back to the community we work and live in.

We Care. We Share. We Invest. We Grow.

Beyond creating wealth for our stakeholders, the values of caring, sharing, investing and growing lies at the heart of everything we do at Crowe Malaysia. Not only do these values shine through in the way we run our professional practice, but also in our various community outreach projects.

We believe that God has blessed us so that we can be a blessing to others. As a community-centric firm, we are purposeful in doing our part – whether big or small, to positively impact society and transform lives, especially for the underprivileged, marginalized and voiceless communities.

Project CHange

Project CHange

When children learn, they later earn! Learning is a positive contributor to a person’s knowledge and self-esteem. Through education, we believe people’s lives can be transformed, by breaking the cycle of poverty and giving them the opportunity to a brighter future.

We put this belief into action in 2012 when we initiated Crowe Malaysia’s Project Change. This timely project was conceived to take advantage of a tax incentive announced in the Government’s Budget 2013 whereby companies are given double tax deduction if they incur approved expenses to sponsor poor Malaysian students for their tertiary education in approved Malaysian universities.

We coordinated this tax-driven CSR program which connected generous sponsors to needy students who needed financial aid for their education.

Through Project Change, Crowe Malaysia, together with other generous corporate sponsors, assisted more than 50 students from poor families to complete their university education. We were greatly heartened by the many heartwarming stories of young lives being positively impacted, and making a contribution to our nation!

PichaEats

PichaEats

PichaEats is a social enterprise started by 3 young graduates who had a heart for refugees. They had one simple mission – to rebuild lives for refugees in Malaysia through food. Our contribution to their mission is that of a staunch supporter of their efforts. Inspired by these compassionate young founders and wowed by their mouthwatering delicacies, Crowe Malaysia supports PichaEats for all the catering events in the office.

Through PichaEats, we had the opportunity to savour delicious authentic meals cooked by refugee chefs from their homeland of Myanmar, Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Afghanistan. The refugees themselves enjoy a sustainable livelihood that brought back their dignity and transformed their lives.

Ideas Academy

Ideas Academy

Resonating with our belief that education is a right for all regardless of background, race, creed or economic situation, Crowe Malaysia provides financial aid to IDEAS Academy, a secondary learning centre for underprivileged children, including those who are refugees, stateless or undocumented. Our financial support goes towards covering some of their operating expenses and meals for their students.

Since its inception in 2014, IDEAS has grown from a simple classroom of 24 students to an Academy in a 5 storey building with 9 classrooms, an IT room, library, and canteen.
