Natalie Butt

Director, Private Clients
London

I work with individuals, families, executors and Trustees to advise, guide and support them through the probate and estate administration process.

As a solicitor specialising in inheritance tax, estates and trusts, I advise on complex estate administrations, succession planning and lifetime wealth preservation. My work regularly involves helping families navigate challenging and often emotional situations, providing clear, practical advice tailored to their circumstances.

I have particular expertise in inheritance tax planning, including matters involving business and agricultural assets, family succession and HMRC enquiries. In October 2025, I appeared before the House of Lords Finance Bill Sub-Committee to discuss the implications of the government's proposed changes to Business Property Relief (BPR), reflecting my involvement in the wider debate on inheritance tax policy and reform.

Working across generations, I help clients protect and transfer wealth efficiently while building long-term trusted relationships with families and their advisers.

I also lead Crowe UK's probate offering, working closely with colleagues across our tax, Trust and advisory teams to deliver a joined-up service for clients.

Beyond my client work, I am passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion. I am a member of the steering committee for Crowe UK's LEAP network, helping to support the development of our female talent pipeline and promote an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, background or experience, can reach their full potential.
