Mark Stemp

Partner, Private Clients
London

I provide tax advice to individuals to help them to better understand and manage their tax. My key to my approach is to try to keep things straightforward and to explain complex things in a simple way.

I advise on a number of taxes, including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. Typical clients are families or landlords who are looking to structure their wealth in a tax-efficient way. This can include the use of Trusts or Family Investment Companies.

I joined Crowe LLP in 2012 to lead their Thames Valley Private Client Tax service and became a partner on 1 April 2017. I also lead the National Private Client Property Tax team. I regularly speak on property tax matters to the residential property sector.

What I Do

  • Property taxation
  • Capital Gains Tax planning on the sale of assets
  • Profit extraction strategies for shareholders with their own companies
  • Tax-efficient investments
  • Trust planning
  • Inheritance Tax planning
  • Succession of assets and businesses
  • Preparing your tax returns and resolving HMRC enquiries
  • Getting your tax affairs up-to-date

My Clients

  • Wealthy individuals
