As an emerging energy source, Malaysia is now the third largest manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules in the world, after China and Taiwan. Many international solar equipment manufacturing companies have factories in Malaysia, such as the American company First Solar, SunPower, German-based Q-Cells and Samsung’s SDI.
