Introduction

A lot of measures have been taken by the Malaysian Government to curb the Covid-19 pandemic, such as introducing the travel restrictions and other new procedures and updating them from time to time.

Effective from 1 April 2022, in transitioning to the endemic phase of Covid-19, Malaysia's national borders have been reopened after two (2) years of Covid-19 pandemic-related closures. This has a positive impact on the Malaysian economy. Businesses are picking up and the employer may need to hire more people – some even from overseas due to the expertise of the work nature.

However, life after Covid-19 is no longer the same. Though we are cheering for the economic recovery, there are still SOPs in place to be followed.

  • What do the expatriates need to do prior to departure from their home country before entering Malaysia?
  • Is quarantine required? If yes, for how long?
  • Any updates to the process and procedures relating to the work permit applications?

In this webinar Ms. Shalina and Ms. Noor Zulaiha will share with you the immigration updates so that you can plan to ensure the smooth process of bringing in your expatriates to Malaysia and kick start the business plans.
