HMRC have launched a new service allowing businesses to access their customs declaration data for imports and exports, completely free of charge.
Reports can now be requested and downloaded online, going back up to four years.
Analysing your customs data is a powerful way of identifying risks and opportunities in your supply chain, often uncovering opportunities for customs duty savings.
The service is currently in a Public Testing phase, with full implementation expected early in 2026.
A new feature of this service is the ability to authorise third parties to manage your reports on your behalf.
Using our bespoke customs analytics tool, Customs-ID, we can help your business make sense of the data.
In recent years, our analysis has helped generate millions of pounds in duty savings for clients.
For more information on this process, including a step-by-step guide on how to authorise a third party, please contact Jamie Mcleod or your usual Crowe contact.
