João Neiva de Oliveira Pires has a degree in Accounting and Administration - Specialisation in Auditing from the Institute of Accounting and Administration of Porto. He is a chartered account and a partner of Horwath & Associados, SROC, and has worked in multinational auditing and consulting, with different degrees of responsibility, gaining twenty-one years of experience in auditing, working in small, medium and large national and international companies in various different sectors of activity.
He has also participated in several financial consultancy projects, specialising in due diligence and audits of projects co-financed by the European Union.
He has in-depth knowledge of the operation of non-profit institutions, in which he held supervisory roles and coordinated financial departments over a period of ten years on a voluntary basis.
