Crowe Oman Turns 30, Launches ‘Doing Business in Oman’ Guide

Business & Investment Muscat, Oman Corporate Milestone

Crowe Oman marked its 30th anniversary with the launch of the 12th revised edition of its Doing Business in Oman guide, developed in collaboration with Invest Oman. The event brought together dignitaries, ambassadors, business leaders, clients, partners, and members of the firm’s team at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Muscat.

The anniversary celebration combined institutional recognition with a forward-looking investment message, positioning the guide as a practical tool for businesses seeking opportunities in Oman’s growing market.

Anniversary Celebration and Guide Launch

The event served as both a milestone celebration and a strategic business platform. Crowe Oman used the occasion to commemorate three decades of service while unveiling the latest edition of its business guide, a publication designed to help investors and enterprises better understand Oman’s commercial environment.

The guide was created in collaboration with Invest Oman and reflects the growing need for accessible, structured insight into the Sultanate’s business landscape. By launching it during the anniversary event, Crowe Oman reinforced its role as both an advisory firm and an active contributor to the country’s investment ecosystem.

High-Level Attendance and Industry Presence

The gathering was attended by a wide mix of stakeholders, including government representatives, ambassadors, business leaders, clients, and partners. H E Qais Bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, attended as chief guest, while His Highness Sayyid Hamoud bin Qais bin Tarek al Said participated as guest of honour.

Their presence underscored the significance of the event and highlighted the connection between Oman’s public institutions, private sector development, and international investment ambitions.

Purpose of the Guide

The Doing Business in Oman guide is intended to support investors and enterprises evaluating the market by providing a structured overview of opportunities, business conditions, and growth potential in the country. It is aimed at helping decision-makers navigate the local environment with greater confidence and clarity.

In practical terms, the publication functions as a market-entry and business-reference tool, supporting companies that are assessing Oman for expansion, investment, or longer-term operational planning.

Recognition of People and Legacy

As part of the celebration, the event included a Founders Recognition Ceremony and Long Service Awards for employees who have completed between 10 and 20 years with the firm. These recognitions reflected the organization’s culture of continuity, loyalty, and sustained contribution.

Dr Davis Kalluran, Managing Partner of Crowe Oman, welcomed guests and thanked government officials, clients, partners, and employees for their support. He reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and meaningful contribution in the years ahead.

Growth of Crowe Oman

Established in 1995 by Dr Kalluran, Ghazali, and Dr Khalid Maniar, Crowe Oman has grown from 10 partners and just over 100 professionals into a broader advisory platform serving multiple industries. The firm today offers expertise across audit and assurance, taxation, risk advisory, corporate finance, technology, forensic audits, telecom, sustainability, ESG, hospitality, travel, and leisure.

This breadth of capability reflects the firm’s long-term development and its responsiveness to the evolving needs of businesses operating in Oman and across the region.

Regional Outlook and EMEA Conference

During the celebrations, Dr Kalluran announced that the Crowe Global 2026 Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional conference will be held in Muscat from May 6 to 8. More than 150 partners and member firm leaders from over 100 countries are expected to attend, making it the first time the event will be hosted in Oman.

The announcement signaled confidence in Oman’s ability to host international business gatherings and reflected the country’s rising relevance within Crowe’s regional and global network.

Leadership Endorsement and Strategic Relevance

Kamel Abouchacra, CEO of Crowe Global, praised Crowe Oman for hosting the conference and acknowledged its sector expertise, particularly in technology, telecom, and hospitality consulting. Filipa Correia, EMEA regional executive, noted that Muscat offers an ideal setting for collaboration, innovation, and talent development across the network.

These endorsements reinforced the strategic role of Oman within the broader regional agenda and highlighted how professional services firms can contribute to national economic priorities.

Aligned with Oman Vision 2040

Crowe Oman’s continued growth mirrors Oman’s wider economic vision under Oman Vision 2040. The country’s development agenda emphasizes diversification, private sector expansion, investment readiness, and long-term institutional strength.

In that context, the launch of the revised guide represents more than a publication milestone. It supports a broader effort to make Oman more understandable, accessible, and attractive to regional and international businesses looking for stable and opportunity-driven markets.
