Pillai was Head of Corporate Banking Department in Bank Muscat SAOG.

Pillai is a First Rank holder in Master in Commerce, University of Kerala and has also completed Company Secretaryship and CAIIB (Institute of Banking, India).

His expertise includes marketing, approval, disbursement and monitoring of all credit facilities to large corporate in the Sultanate. He has done extensive due diligence and also handled all internal, external and CBO audit queries and response in the Corporate Banking. He is also experienced in handling ISO certification of the department, risk management issues, training all departmental staffs on credit, client relationship and annual file review and staff review in the credit department.

Experience

Taysir is a Bachelors in accounting with more than 20 years of working experience in the field of audit, tax, finance and accounting. Before joining Crowe, he was heading as In-charge Director of Department of Tax Compliance for Tax Authorities of Oman. He has also worked there as tax inspector and survey & return specialist.

He was involved in drafting and recommending on the Income Tax, Excise and VAT Law for the Tax Authorities.

He was deeply involved with the business and system development for the Tax Authorities, mainly with respect to the new Excise and VAT systems in Oman.

He has expertise in VAT implementation for the TMS.
