Kevin is a Partner in the Tax Group at Crowe Soberman. He joined the firm as a specialist in 2021 and has developed in-depth expertise in international and cross-border tax matters since beginning his career as a tax practitioner.
Kevin has extensive experience assisting multinational corporate groups with Canadian inbound expansion, structuring cross-border acquisitions, advising on global mobility, and preparing tax-efficient outbound investment structures. He takes a holistic approach to ensure that each structure makes sense from both a global tax perspective and a business perspective. Kevin has also supported clients with emigration and immigration planning, helping them leverage appropriate tax strategies to minimize liabilities and avoid Canadian tax pitfalls.
Income tax compliance is only the first step in Kevin’s practice. As part of his compliance work, Kevin also identifies potential tax exposures within the increasingly complex landscape of cross-border taxation. One area he frequently advises on is cross-border financing structures and how they affect Canadian tax filings, as well as the repatriation of profits.
Kevin takes pride in applying his technical knowledge and tax research skills to develop practical tax solutions for clients. He is passionate about staying current with the latest tax developments and continually seeks new ways to support clients by identifying risks during compliance and uncovering tax planning opportunities.
Kevin works with a diverse range of clients, including high net worth individuals and their investment corporations, owner managed businesses, and subsidiaries of large multinational groups.
