Filipa Correia, Regional Executive Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Crowe Global, featured on the cover of Vida Económica today in an in-depth interview.

According to Filipa Correia: “Corporate tax systems and strategies are being reshaped by geopolitical instability.”

Filipa currently oversees the strategy, expansion, and development of Crowe Global offices across the EMEA region, which spans 96 countries. In her previous roles, she served on the Board of Directors of Crowe Global and participated in the organization’s Strategic Committees.

“Tax advisors now play a strategic role that goes far beyond compliance,” she emphasizes.

Aged 46, Filipa is Portuguese and a lawyer specialized in international tax law, fiscal policy, and EU commercial law. She holds a law degree from Portugal and completed postgraduate studies in international tax law at SDA Bocconi. Having lived and worked in Italy for over 15 years, she was a Partner at a Milan-based law firm and brings more than two decades of international experience in legal and tax consulting.

In her view: “Today, the tax function is a strategic lever for business resilience.”

Filipa also leads Crowe Global’s strategic initiatives in Leadership and Talent Development, including the Crowe Leadership Academy, which focuses on nurturing talent, leadership, change management, growth strategies, communication, and other key competencies.
