Over the past ten years, João Silva has served as a lecturer and management consultant at Porto Business School, particularly in the areas of Supply Chain & Operations, Risk Management, and Business Continuity Management. João was also responsible for Strategic Control and acted as a champion for Sustainability-related topics. João has led and collaborated on consulting projects across multiple sectors (pharmaceutical distribution, transportation and logistics, food retail, textile retail, food industry, packaging industry, banking, energy, etc.), working with various national and multinational organizations and conglomerates. João has also contributed to several initiatives of the United Nations Global Compact, both in Portugal and abroad, and was a member of the Steering Committee of the UN PRME forum.
João Silva holds a background in Management and Industrial Engineering (FEUP) and an MBA (Porto Business School), with academic and professional specialization in operations management, supply chain management, risk management, and corporate sustainability.
