Crowe Ireland Consulting services

Consulting

Crowe’s Consulting practice tackles issues and questions which affect everyday life in Ireland, working predominantly with civil and public sector and not-for-profit clients – focusing on assignments with a real impact: improving public services and making society better.

Ireland’s economy and society are changing at an unprecedented pace. Organisations working with and providing services to the public are challenged by the need to innovate, demonstrate impact and efficiency, and meet their own organisational goals.

These pressures can be difficult to respond to. Our consulting team supports civil and public sector, not-for-profit and commercial clients in responding to these organisational challenges by building impact-focused and value-adding relationships – working in partnership with our clients to solve problems, innovate and continuously improve.

Our consultancy services include:

Strategy planning support
We help our clients identify, develop and implement lasting strategic change to help them and their organisations meet their goals. Working alongside clients' senior teams, we help develop comprehensive, robust and practical planning documents. These range from high-level, long-term strategic plans for large organisations to detailed one-year business plans for individual units or departments.
Programme evaluations & impact assessment
We work with a range of organisations, helping to identify operational and cost efficiencies and the impact of programmes on individuals and businesses. We conduct detailed evaluations of service provision, including value-for-money reviews, client/customer surveys, and efficiency and impact analyses. Working alongside clients, we develop recommendations and workable plans to achieve real change and support future programme iterations.
Organisational design strategy
We support clients who are undertaking, or wish to undertake, large-scale transformation processes, ensuring that they operate efficiently and to the required standards. Throughout these processes we undertake a wide range of tasks, including design of structures and processes, planning and managing major transformation and change, and co-creating a design that supports an optimal organisational culture, and supporting the development of new business processes, ways of working, and implementation.
Governance training
We support our clients in ensuring that they are compliant with all requirements set out in applicable legislation and policy to ensure optimal organisational performance. To do this, we provide training material, training workshops, and direct partnerships to ensure that concepts are distilled within the organisation.
Workforce planning
We provide support to our clients in optimising their organisation's workforce to ensure the achievement of their strategic objectives. During this process we identify an optimal workforce plan to support our client organisations, assess the current workforce data to identify gaps and overlaps, and provide recommendations and implementation plans to achieve the required state.
Risk consulting
In today’s environment, organisations face greater scrutiny and pressure to ensure compliance with best practice, which not only mitigates potential issues, but supports organisations in enhancing performance. Our Risk Consulting team supports clients through tailored methodologies to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their organisation, and provide assurance that business risks are being controlled.
Workshop planning & facilitation
We support our clients in planning, preparing, and delivering workshops to inform various processes including strategy development and gathering views in relation to framework development processes. We provide material in advance of workshops, ensure engagement throughout, and document feedback to support our clients.
Compliance reviews
We work with our clients to ensure their operations and organisations are in line with all applicable codes, legislation, and policies. We assess all elements of our clients’ operations to ensure that they are compliant. We provide insight as to whether clients’ operations are in line with, or exceeding, best practice.
Governance reviews
We support our clients in conducting reviews of the effectiveness of governance arrangements in their organisations, to help provide confidence in the robustness of these arrangements while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy. We provide recommendations to clients and support the development of new governance policies, systems, and procedures.
Business cases
We are a trusted partner in developing comprehensive business cases tailored in line with the Public Spending Code. With a deep understanding of the infrastructural guidelines governing capital investment projects, we seamlessly guide clients through the project lifecycle, from inception to Exchequer approval. With a client-centric approach, we collaborate closely to integrate our clients’ unique goals and objectives into the business case development process.
Project & programme management
We provide project management support to our clients undertaking a range of projects from short, smaller scale projects, to large multi-annual programmes of work. Our team comprises a number of Prince2 qualified Practitioners who bring their knowledge and experience to client organisations to ensure success in these bodies of work. We acknowledge that projects and programmes of work are a constant within the sector, and it is critical to ensure these are managed in line with best practice to prevent delay or failure. We can manage or support the management of these programmes to ensure that they remain on track and aligned with the overall goals.

Our experts assist by identifying trends likely to impact the sector, reviewing the sector’s performance, and examining opportunities for growth or consolidation.

Each internal audit assignment can vary, ranging from an assessment of procurement to ICT in client organisations. For more information see here.
