Vancouver (January 4, 2023) - This year Crowe MacKay welcomes eight new Partners from their Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, and Sunshine Coast offices. Congratulations to Ashley Jensen, Alvin Singh, Aneesh Agrawal, Niels Jensen, Nicole Kirubi, Jack Morris, Lana Lisak, and Sara Zacharias on achieving this career milestone.
Each of these individuals exemplifies the skills and qualities aligning with Crowe MacKay’s core values: We Care. We Share. We Invest. We Grow. This group serves as the newest leaders in northern and western Canada, serving as experts to both clients and Crowe team members.
Working in the Calgary office for over 10 years, Ashley provides personable and dependable service to both clients and colleagues. She specializes in audit and assurance, working primarily with publicly traded companies. Ashley also has expertise in the oil and gas and wholesale and manufacturing industries. Within the Firm she is an active member of the Standards Committee, serving as a leader in communicating and implementing industry standards. Ashley has significantly contributed to the office’s recruiting, training, and mentoring initiatives, including leading Calgary’s student recruitment and CPA mentor program for several years, as well as delivering audit training for students. Ashley is a proud supporter of local Calgary not-for-profit, EvenStart for Children’s Foundation, initiating the office’s long-standing relationship of giving back to children in need. Ashley is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle. Outside the office, you can find her on a spin bike, in a hot yoga studio or walking her two bulldogs in the park.
Alvin joined Crowe MacKay’s Edmonton office in 2013 and since then has built his practice as a general practitioner providing his clients with various services, including assurance, accounting, and tax. His industries of focus include Indigenous organizations, not-for-profit entities, and construction. Alvin is one of the office’s leads for student recruitment. Outside the office, he enjoys watching and playing sports and spending quality time with his family.
Joining the firm in 2017, Aneesh is passionate about business development and bringing new work to the Edmonton office. He assists privately held businesses with annual tax filings and financial statement reporting offering trusted advisory services to help them grow and succeed. Aneesh has extensive experience working within industries such as medical, dental, legal, and real estate professionals as well as Indigenous organizations. Coming from a larger firm, joining Crowe MacKay made Aneesh realize the importance organizational culture plays in one's professional and personal growth. Aneesh is grateful to Crowe MacKay for providing him with an inclusive and motivating environment to grow, while maintaining work-life balance. Outside of his busy work schedule, Aneesh finds enjoyment watching sports, spending time with his family and travelling to tropical countries.
In 2020, Niels joined the Edmonton team bringing over 10 years of experience. He's a leader in the agriculture industry serving a range of clients from small, owner-managed businesses to large, privately-held businesses. Niels offers his agriculture clients various services including preparing and filing Agri-Invest and Agri-Stability program documents, as well as succession and estate planning. Within his practice, Niels also conducts GST, PST, and payroll audits and assists companies applying for Federal and Provincial grants. Outside of client work, Niels is a leader in training and mentoring young professionals within the office. His advice to those looking to grow and advance their careers is: “Don't be afraid to take on projects or engagements that you have no experience with; you can't grow as a professional if you only do things you already know how to do.”
Nicole joined the Kelowna office in 2007 and has grown into a leader for the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and the Kelowna Growth Committee. She focuses on assurance and client services for professionals, real estate development, manufacturing and wholesale, and technology. In growing her practice, Nicole understands that each client is unique and takes pride in providing individualized planning. As a leader, she believes in showing up every day, committed to the success of the team. Displayed on her desk is a quote that says: Do something amazing every day. “This sign isn’t about me,” Nicole says, “it's about the connections I make with the people around me and enjoying big and small successes.” She is passionate about the firm's culture and values giving back to the community. Over the years, Nicole and her family have supported several initiatives, including Walk for ALS, Run for the Cure, Ride Don't Hide, and many more. Her passion to serve the community is something she hopes to pass on to her children.
Jack started with Crowe MacKay as a co-op student in 2012, spending four terms with the Vancouver office before returning full-time and writing the CFE in 2016. Jack was drawn to the firm's entrepreneurial culture, which consistently provided new opportunities and challenges as he developed his professional career. He believes the balance between autonomy and mentorship the firm offers is ideal for anyone looking to build a career in public practice. Jackprovides assurance and consulting services to private businesses and Indigenous governments. In the private sector, Jack works with clients in an array of industries, including aviation, construction, and wholesale distribution. His entrepreneurial nature led him to initiate the development of Vancouver's Indigenous audit service line which he continues to build today. Outside of the office, you can find Jack enjoying typical West Coast activities such as skiing, hiking, and touring the seawall. He loves to travel, exploring new cities and discovering new cultures; just recently, Jack and his wife hiked the 165 kilometre Tour du Mont Blanc through the French, Italian, and Swiss alps.
Sara joined Crowe MacKay's Sunshine Coast office in 2019. In her 14 years of experience both in local government and public practice, Sara continues to expand her expertise. She provides assurance, accounting, financial reporting, estate, and taxation services to her clients. Sara assists small and medium-sized private companies and not-for-profit organizations in various industry segments, including film and television, housing societies, real estate and construction, and professional services. Her passion for providing high-quality services in a friendly and professional manner has created lasting connections with clients and community members. With extensive experience in developing and streamlining processes, Sara is a valued leader in the Sunshine Coast office.

Joining Crowe MacKay's Vancouver office in 2018, Lana provides accounting, assurance, and tax-related services to clients in various industries, including manufacturing, retail, investments, real estate, medical, dental, and law practices. She specializes in small and medium-sized enterprises, focusing on tax compliance, succession planning, and ensuring both personal and corporate business affairs are looked after. Lana values Crowe MacKay’s culture and her care for others translates to building strong connections with colleagues and clients. Outside of the office you can find Lana volunteering at ice rinks, school, or softball diamonds.
