Ken is a tax and consulting associate at Crowe MacKay LLP with a focus on tax and corporate finance issues. He is the former firm-wide Tax Leader for Crowe MacKay LLP. Ken provides consulting services to a wide range of businesses including the purchase and sale of businesses, estate and trust work, CRA appeal work, tax planning, cross-border transactions, and public company compliance services.
Ken has practiced in Kamloops, Edmonton, and Kelowna. He has volunteered at provincial and national levels with the Accountant Institutes, and currently serves on the CPA Canada Small and Medium Tax Practitioners Committee. Ken is a previous member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) Task Force on Tax Education for its five year national redevelopment process on advanced tax courses. He participated on a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) National committee related to taxation, served on the BC Institute Tax Liaison Committee, and has been a witness for a House of Commons committee on the review of cross-border trust-tax issues.
