(MONTREAL, Quebec - September 29, 2026) Crowe BGK today announced a partnership with Fieldguide and CPA Canada to help advance the future of AI-enabled assurance in Canada.
Through this partnership, Crowe BGK will become the first accounting firm in Canada to adopt Fieldguide’s AI-native platform for their assurance engagement platform, while CPA Canada’s Professional Engagement Guide (PEG) content will be embedded within Fieldguide’s platform. Together, the three organizations are bringing practitioner expertise, technology and professional guidance into a connected environment designed to support high-quality assurance work in Canada.
For Crowe BGK, the opportunity goes beyond adopting new technology. It gives the firm an opportunity to contribute to how AI-enabled assurance evolves in Canada while continuing to invest in the people, judgment and relationships at the centre of high-quality professional services.
Our goal with this partnership is to give our teams access to a platform that aligns with our ambition for the firm, as a supplement, not a replacement, for the work the team already does well.
We have spent the last several years building a culture that moves quickly on new technology, and Fieldguide is the natural next step in that journey.
The assurance profession is changing, and so is the business model that has supported it for decades. The window to wait and see is closing, so we’ve made our bet on the future. By becoming the first accounting firm in Canada to adopt Fieldguide, we’re combining the expertise and professional judgment of our people with technology and AI to rethink how assurance is delivered. That means more meaningful work for our people, more time understanding our clients’ businesses and risks, and greater insight, quality and value for our clients. We don't want to simply adapt to the future of assurance; we want to help shape it.
Digital transformation should do more than accelerate existing processes – it should fundamentally transform how our professionals work. Fieldguide will give them more time to do what they do best: exercise judgment, think critically, solve complex problems, and engage meaningfully with clients. That is the true promise of AI in assurance. It does not replace professional expertise; it creates more space for that expertise to make an impact.
Implementation will take place progressively, allowing Crowe BGK and Fieldguide to test, learn and refine the platform as it is introduced within the firm’s assurance practice. Throughout that process, professional judgment, oversight and accountability will remain central to how the technology is used.
The partnership is the latest step in Crowe BGK’s ongoing commitment to embedding leading tools into its workflows at a pace that keeps the firm ahead of industry change, while maintaining its focus on excellence in the insights, relationships and support it provides to clients.
