Position Profile:

As a Bookkeeper, you would be responsible for:

  • General bookkeeping from transactional recordings through to the preparation of internal financial statements, (operating companies and investment entities);
  • Processing of payments;
  • General correspondence and filing;
  • Administrative and organizational duties;
  • Preparation of personal tax returns;
  • Preparation of Bank reconciliations A/R and A/P;
  • Calculation, reporting and filing of GST/QST reports, payroll and DAS and issues related thereto.
  • Complete month end closings;
  • Ability to travel to clients on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in related field;
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Prior experience working with accounting software (QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, Writeup, Acc Pac and others);
  • Experience with multi-currency and multi-company accounting;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English);
  • Proven organizational skills;
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
