Crowe Singapore Senior Tax Partner to be on Judging Panel for SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2021

Crowe Singapore's Senior Partner and Head of Tax, Sivakumar Saravan, will be part of the judging panel for the Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2021.

As a member of the panel of judges, Sivakumar will play an important role in identifying which exceptional entrants for the award are to be recognised for leading the technological revolution and digital journeys of their respective industries.

Sivakumar has about 25 years of experience in tax compliance and tax consultancy work for individuals, local corporations, public-listed companies, multinationals and financial institutions.

Recently, he has been actively involved in helping digital businesses, including blockchain start-ups, understand and address the local and international tax implications of their transactions.

Sivakumar has also conducted numerous seminars and workshops to tax professionals in corporations. He is a sought-after speaker in areas such as withholding tax, permanent establishment, interpretation of tax treaties and employee taxation.

Sivakumar is the author of the Singapore Withholding Tax Online, and the book “Tax Essentials for HR Professionals, Singapore”, both published by Wolters Kluwer. He has also authored several articles published by Bloomberg Tax and the International Tax Review.
