Changes to Dependent Privileges for Work Pass Holders

From 1 January 2018, the following changes to the qualifying salary criteria for work pass holders eligible for dependant privileges will take effect, following the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) revision of the qualifying criteria:

  1. Work pass holders need to meet a minimum fixed monthly salary of $6,000 to bring in their spouse/ children (on Dependent's Pass). The current minimum fixed monthly salary is S$5,000.

  2. Work pass holders need to meet a minimum fixed monthly salary of $12,000 to bring in their parents (on Long Term Visit Pass). The current minimum fixed monthly salary is S$10,000.

New Dependent's Pass (DP) applications for spouse/ children and Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) applications for parents received before 1 January 2018 will be assessed on the pre-1 January 2018 criteria. Renewals for DPs/ LTVPs approved or issued before 1 January 2018 will also be assessed on pre-1 January 2018 criteria provided the main pass holder remains with the same employer.
