The Asia Tax Series: Country Updates and Tax Challenges from Digitalisation

Over 60 Participants attended the Asia Tax Series: Country Updates and Tax Challenges from Digitalization conference, organized jointly by Crowe Singapore and Wolters Kluwer, on Wednesday 26 September 2018 at Sheraton Towers, Singapore.

Speaking at the conference were tax experts from our Crowe Asia-Pacific network, including Malaysia, Indonesia, India and China, who discussed the tax developments in their respective countries, with an emphasis on the impact of the digital economy.

The conference also featured a panel discussion with the speakers, and was joined by Dr. Barry Freeman, Principal of Transfer Pricing Services and Mr. Gregory Buteyn, Director of International Tax, both of Crowe USA, as well as Mr. Hugo Everaerd from Crowe Netherlands.

The discussion, which included topics ranging from the challenges faced by tax authorities in dealing with the taxation of the digital economy to transfer pricing issues, was moderated by Crowe Singapore’s Head of Tax, Mr Sivakumar Saravan.
