TORONTO, ON – May 4, 2018 – Daniel Edwards, Valuations | Forensics | Litigation Partner at Crowe Soberman LLP, has received the 2018 Distinguished Contribution as a Forensic Accounting Instructor Award from the Institute for Management & Innovation at the University of Toronto.

For over 15 years, Daniel has taught (online) in loss quantification courses within the Diploma of Investigative and Forensic Accounting Program, as well as assisted in course content design for the recently established Master of Forensic Accounting Program (MFAcc).

The MFAcc intends to become the preferred preparation for forensic accountants not only in Canada, but also worldwide, as well as persons in risk management and compliance functions, business valuation, fraud investigation in law enforcement, and financial investigations for organizations including the World Bank, The United Nations, and others.

With 25 years of experience in public accounting, Daniel develops and supervises members of the Valuations | Forensics | Litigation team in the development of expert witness reports for use in insurance or litigation claims. He works closely with lawyers, insurers and business managers. Daniel has expertise in a broad range of matters, including business or personal claims for lost earnings, major property losses; commercial disputes, employee fraud, and statutory accident benefit claims.
