Michael Huang

Michael Huang is a Partner in the Tax Group at Crowe Soberman. Before joining our team, Michael worked at a small boutique accounting firm where he provided audit and tax services to owner-managed businesses. He joined Crowe Soberman as a tax specialist in 2014.

Michael has extensive experience working with medium to large companies. He has helped clients in the manufacturing, real estate, construction and technology industries. He has assisted clients in complying with Canadian tax laws and helped them identify cross-border issues. Michael has helped individuals with their various tax needs and helped them identify tax-planning opportunities. His confidence and professionalism are what help him meet his objectives.

His experience includes advising clients on the Canadian tax implications of cross-border transactions, including withholding tax considerations, tax-efficient structuring, and strategies to optimize cash repatriation. He works with multinational enterprises on international transactions and assists clients in identifying and addressing cross-border tax issues and related Canadian tax considerations. 

Michael has also co-published a Tax Letter called “New Tax Relief Measures Announced by the Federal Government.” He also regularly volunteers for the CPA Volunteer Tax Clinic.
