On October 20, 2025, a Court order was granted naming Crowe MacKay & Company Ltd. (“Crowe”) as Receiver, without security, of certain assets, undertakings and properties of Kalum River Contracting Ltd. and AC Airways Ltd. (collectively, the “Companies”). Specifically, the following assets are subject to the receivership.
(a) a 1958 de Havilland DHC-2 MK 1 Beaver, Serial Number 1249, Registration Mark C-FAOP, including all attachments and accessories, engine and propeller;
(b) a 1951 de Havilland DHC-2 MK 1 Beaver, Serial Number 140, Registration Mark C-FIAX, including all attachments and accessories, engine and propeller;
(c) a 1979 Cessna A185F Skywagon, Serial Number 18503973, Registration Mark C-GDIR, including all attachments and accessories, engine and propeller;
(d) three (3) Assignment of Aircraft Leases dated April 24, 2024;
as more particularly described in Schedule A of the court order, including all proceeds (the “Property”).
The Companies operated out of Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, and provide charter flights, sightseeing tours, aerial work, and other services. Copies of the Court Order and relevant pleadings can be found below.
The Receiver is currently offering for sale the 1951 de Havilland DHC-2 MK 1 Beaver, Serial Number 140, Registration Mark C-FIAX, and 1979 Cessna A185F Skywagon, Serial Number 18503973, Registration Mark C-GDIR in accordance with the Receivership Order, with Island Aero Service acting as the listing broker.
