Position Summary:

We are searching for a U.S. Tax Specialist. As an integral part of our growing tax group, the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment and they will be detail oriented with a proven track record of: accuracy, outstanding client relations, teamwork, flexible to meet deadlines especially during busy periods.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare U.S. Federal and state income tax returns;
  • Prepare U.S. corporate treaty based returns to minimize double taxation with the guidance of IRS;
  • Research and analysis of a wide variety of U.S. tax issues;
  • Litigation support including representation to the taxation authorities and preparation of appeals;
  • Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on tax developments and apply them in practical situations;
  • Other related tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters in Taxation or CICA In-depth Tax Course is an asset but not essential;
  • 1 year of experience in U.S. Taxation;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
  • Accounting designation or law degree;
