We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join a leading accounting firm in Ottawa. If you’re looking for a great workplace and excellent career advancement opportunities, this is it.

Crowe BGK

Successful for more than six decades, Crowe BGK is a leading independent accounting firm with offices in Ottawa and Montreal and an international affiliation within a global Top 10 accounting network. Our team provides a full suite of accounting, domestic and international tax, corporate finance and business advisory solutions to individuals and corporate clients in diverse industries across Ontario, Quebec and around the world.

WHAT MAKES Crowe BGK RIGHT FOR YOU?

We understand that your job search is all about what is in it for you. So here are the highlights:

You can fast-track your career here: Simply put, you can make partner sooner at Crowe BGK than in most others. And there are great reasons for this. Years of double digit business growth. Less bureaucracy. A commitment to recognizing and rewarding performance. Advancement based on merit instead of age. Performance-based incentives and commissions on new business. And a work environment that proactively fuels professional development faster than in typical cultures where employees can toil in anonymity. This is a firm where 20% of partners and 70% of professionals are under the age of 40. The growth opportunity and long-term career potential simply cannot be understated: there is nothing to hold you back.

You will significantly boost your expertise and experience: Crowe BGK is one of the few mid-sized firms with a dedicated tax department of over 20 that leverages in-depth knowledge and in-house expertise in cross border tax, international tax, commodity tax and Canadian tax.  Tax employees benefit from weekly tax meetings with presentations and updates from senior members. The firm invests in the development of our team members. From day one, you will be given the tools and support you need to succeed. Approved courses are reimbursed. You will be mentored and trained by experienced partners and managers who have a tremendous depth of expertise. And being a key contributor in a collaborative approach to servicing clients across a broad range of industries will quickly strengthen and widen your expertise.

You will like coming to the office: If you’re looking for a traditional old boys’ club or the same-old routine every day, you won’t find it here. Crowe BGK appreciates that a workplace should be a destination you enjoy going to each day. There is no place for egos, pretense and office politics. People genuinely like working here. And you will too.

You get some nice work perks: In this full-time position, you will enjoy a competitive salary, full range of benefits, commission on new business, in-house professional development opportunities, parking, expense reimbursement (including approved courses/training/conferences, professional dues and liability insurance), office closure in December during the holidays including two additional paid days off in addition to vacation time, early departure on Fridays (1PM) in July and August, and other perks.

You will genuinely like your colleagues: You’ll join a firm of more than 150 likeminded, passionate professionals who collaborate in offering comprehensive solutions while providing the type of personalized service and authentic client connections usually found only in small firms. They are very good at what they do and enjoy doing it.  It is a friendly group that likes to connect for social activities, volunteering and community interactions. The Ottawa office is also very connected and integrated with its counterpart in Montreal and affiliate member firms.
