Position Profile:

As an Indirect Tax Specialist, you would be responsible for:

  • Ensuring indirect tax (GST/HST, QST, PST, US SUT and VAT) compliance by preparing indirect tax returns, reviewing compliance data and quality checks and by co-ordinating insourcing, outsourcing or co-sourcing the indirect tax compliance;
  • Advising clients regarding their registrations and de-registrations, their review of invoicing requirements, the development or review of their indirect tax structures and the analysis of the impact of indirect taxes on special transactions;
  • Dealing with Government support (appeals, voluntary disclosures, interpretation requests, collection measures settlements, etc.)
  • Due diligence reviews and assistance with post-merger integration
  • Tailoring indirect tax trainings for our clients’ needs
  • Serving as a valuable resource for tax knowledge and planning within a dynamic team providing comprehensive, 360-degree solutions

  • Fluently bilingual (oral and written) in English and French
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must have professional designation such as CPA or law degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and client relations skills
