The relevant candidate will be responsible for maintaining and recording the day-to-day financial transactions of clients of the firm.

Role and responsibilities:   

  •  General bookkeeping from transactional recordings through to the preparation of internal financial statements, (operating companies and investment entities)
  • Processing of payments and generating invoices
  • General correspondence and filing
  • Administrative and organizational duties
  • Preparation of financial statements and working papers
  • Preparation of tax returns (corporate and personal)
  • Preparation of Bank reconciliations A/R and A/P
  • Calculation, reporting and filing of HST/GST/QST reports and issues related thereto
  • Processing payroll and calculating source deductions
  • Ability to travel to clients on a regular basis


  • University degree or college diploma
  •  Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience (Payroll and DAS, HST/GST/QST, Bank reconciliations)
  • Prior experience working with accounting software (Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Sage/Simply Accounting, and others)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, French is an asset
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
