Nauman is a Director Internal Audit and Risk Advisory in the Crowe UAE. He is a seasoned professional with more than 21 years of multinational experience. He has previously worked in one of the Big Four firms for more 11 years in Middle East and the UK. In his current role, he manages a portfolio of more than fifty financial services and non-financial services clients across Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Abu Dhabi Capital Markets (ADGM) and Dubai Mainland. His team delivers end to end Internal Audits ensuring stakeholders expectations and regulatory requirements. Previously as a senior member of the Internal Audit function in a FTSE 100 company in London, he has managed and delivered Internal Audit Plans to the firm’s Audit Committee and senior stakeholders.
Nauman’s work with a big four practice included delivering IA engagements in financial and non-financial services sectors. Notably, his work included engagements delivered at a Sovereign Wealth Fund, Fund Managers, Investment Managers, Brokerage firms, Banks and Family offices. In Non-Financial Services space, he has experience with Real Estate and healthcare sectors. Nauman was seconded on 1 year engagement to Bank to Sharjah to deliver the Annual Audit Plan where he was reporting directly into the Audit Committee chair of the bank.
In an exceptional experience, Nauman was engaged in a yearlong project with Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC), a development arm of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. The project involved review of the workers right and living conditions in the UAE and construction contractors’ compliance with the Government of Abu Dhabi’s Workers’ Rights and Protection Policy. The annual reports for this engagement were published by the International Media in the UAE, UK and France.
Nauman is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. He also holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
As a part of ongoing development, Nauman attends courses and seminars. He recently attended a course with Association of Corporate Treasures (ACT) in London. Previously he attended a course on Basel III Accord organized by the British Banking Association, UK.
