We’re delighted to be offering our popular course again, for all Trustees navigating a role during an ever-changing economic and political environment. Providing strategic oversight and often bringing a broader perspective and skillset to support the team in achieving its aims. Ensure you remain abreast of what you need to know, and how best to approach the demands of the role for you and your organisation.

Trustees must ensure they are up to date with the latest guidance in order to meet the responsibilities of this rewarding and vital role. Our Trustee Essentials course highlights the key responsibilities of a charity Trustee, the important current issues for charities and what Trustees need to be focusing on now and in the future.

What we will cover 

Delivered by specialists in our Social Purpose and Non Profit team, the course will retain the unique opportunity for Trustees to engage with one-another and work collaboratively. Once again, the course has been divided up and will take place across four consecutive Friday afternoons.

• Friday 3 May - Part 1: Trustee responsibilities and the board of the future.
• Friday 10 May - Part 2: Charity accounts, effective reporting and managing reserves.
• Friday 17 May - Part 3: Risk management as a strategic enabler for charities.
• Friday 24 May - Part 4: Emerging issues – what’s on the horizon?
