March will mark the end of my 18th year at Crowe Financial Planning UK Limited, a business that has grown steadily over the years, attracting the right people who are engaged in delivering financial advice in the best interest of our clients.
In that time, I have been blessed to work alongside some very talented individuals, who all share a passion for financial planning and who have bought into the culture of this business where our mantra of ‘Our clients don’t care what we know, until they know that we care’, sets the heartbeat of the firm.
This collective ambition has meant we have had a stable team, allowing our consultants to establish deep rooted personal relationships with their clients, and enabling our support team members to understand what really matters.
However, as time marches on, we face challenges around our people retiring and how we deal with those succession issues to ensure a continuity of service. I am always on the lookout for talented people to join our team, with Nasiba Vaiya and John Spencer being good examples of this in recent years.
Equally, I am keen to nurture the talent we have within our team and to develop individuals to further their careers within our business. We have had considerable success with this over the years, with Miles Clarke, Aron Gunningham and, more recently, Alex Grimes, evolving their careers within Crowe and achieving their aspirations to become Financial Planning Consultants.
I know that trusted relationships with clients are critical to the success of our business and to your loyalty. With this in mind, we continue to develop our people so that we can provide a continuity of service to you. We are harnessing that talent and ensuring we have a team who value the culture we have created and understand the important role financial planning plays in people’s lives.
We have identified a number of our existing team to come through as ‘continuity candidates’ to take over when advisers approach retirement. This ensures a seamless transition and maintains ‘business as usual’ for you, while protecting the legacy built by our retiring consultants through their years of hard work and dedication to both you and to Crowe. As time progresses, we will provide further details on this plan to ensure a smooth transition and a continuity of service.
