Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant

 

Role description:

We are growing and searching for highly motivated people to join our Technology Services team.

Our ideal candidate possesses a strong passion for analytics, data reporting and visualizations, sets high standards, is accurate with previous experience in BI development, BI tools and technologies.

Above all the candidate is passionate about working with a variety of data sets and is someone that loves to answer business questions.

Selected candidate will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of complete BI solutions. You will create data pipelines, data models and visualizations which are supporting business processes and decision making. Consultant will be executing the functional and product tests before handover.

Qualification:

 

• Bachelor or Master degree in Applied Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Operational Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field from a leading local or overseas University
• 2 – 3 years hands on experience in BI, data visualization in a business environment;
• UX/UI, visualization tools (Oracle Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Qlik), Relational Database concepts
• Experience in functional design of BI and analytics solutions;
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of SQL and PL/SQL, and relational database concepts;
• Hands-on experience with backend ETL for data extraction and building DWH data models
• Detail-oriented person with strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

 

Preferred skills: We value the expertise you already built, whether you are a junior consultant or a seasoned specialist.

Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.

Programming skills & experience in Python, R. Other languages concerning the application in data analytics are preferred.

Solid understanding of Oracle Database, Data Modelling, Oracle SQL Developer, Data Warehouse concepts, advanced analytics concepts, and implementation.

Experience with the following Oracle solutions is greatly desired: Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), ODI (Oracle Data Integrator); OAS (Oracle Analytics Server); NetSuite SuiteAnalytics Connect.
