CHICAGO (July 22, 2024) – Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm, has received a score of 90 out of 100 on the 2024 Disability Equality Index®, thus earning it recognition as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.”
This is Crowe’s first time participating in the Disability Equality Index, which launched in 2015 as a joint initiative of Disability:IN® and The American Association of People with Disabilities. Today, the index is acknowledged as the world’s most robust disability inclusion assessment tool, measuring inclusion efforts of organizations across various areas, such as: Culture & Leadership; Enterprise-Wide Access; Employment Practices; Community Engagement; Supplier Diversity; and Responsible Procurement.
"We are incredibly proud of our score, but our work is far from over," said Rachael Gibson, Crowe Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer. "Achieving this recognition has required a collective effort, with teams across Crowe working to increase our accessibility. We will continue to strive for excellence in accessibility and disability inclusion so that Crowe remains a great place to work for all."
According to the Centers for Disease and Control Prevention (CDC), there are around 61 million adults with disabilities in the U.S. -- that represents 1 in 4 adults. By completing the Disability Equality Index, organizations demonstrate their commitment to disability inclusion and equality in the workplace, as well as broader social issues.
This year, 542 corporations, including 71 Fortune 100 and 220 Fortune 500, used the Disability Equality Index to benchmark their disability inclusion efforts. Those with index scores of 80 and above earned the designation of a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.
In 2024, disability inclusion also has been the focus on the firm’s Diversity Speaker Series, featuring external speakers presenting to Crowe employees to expand their knowledge and awareness of various diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
