CHICAGO (Jan. 9, 2025) – Crowe LLP, a public accounting and consulting firm, earned a top score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRCF) 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. As a result, Crowe joins 765 U.S. publicly and privately held businesses honored with HRCF’s Equality 100 Award as Leaders in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion for 2025.
"We are proud to score 100 on this year’s CEI because it reflects our ongoing commitment to be inclusive for all and an employer of choice for the LGBTQ+ community," said Rachael Gibson, Crowe chief inclusion & impact officer. "Being inclusive for all is not only good for our people, but it’s good for our business – allowing us to attract, retain, and grow the best talent by providing a work environment where they can be themselves and thrive personally and professionally."
Crowe’s 2025 CEI score is an improvement from its previous score of 95, thanks in part to more inclusive trainings introduced last year and a continued focus on improving benefits for LGBTQ+ individuals. These include expanded caregiver leave and family-forming benefits, such as surrogacy assistance, expanded fertility cycle coverage, and increased adoption support. Additionally, Crowe remains committed to providing confidential benefits for LGBTQ+ team members, including gender-affirming care and HIV prevention.
For Crowe senior manager Breyer Conroy-Salmassy and his husband Zach, these benefits are life-changing. “While we enjoy being godparents, uncles to our niece and nephew, and ‘uncles’ to our friends’ children, we were sadly discouraged by the steep costs of building our own family biologically. These benefits make it financially feasible for us to start a family,” Breyer said. “Zach and I are looking forward to the possibility of trading in our ‘world’s coolest uncle’ t-shirts for ‘world’s greatest dad’ t-shirts sooner than we originally thought!”
The CEI helps businesses expand their consumer base and attract top, innovative talent by supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Companies are rated on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars: anti-discrimination policies across business entities; equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families; supporting an inclusive culture; and corporate social responsibility.
