CHICAGO (Jan. 17, 2018) – Healthcare professionals can earn the qualification of certified net revenue analyst (CNRA) from Crowe Horwath LLP, the developer of the Crowe Revenue Cycle Analytics (Crowe RCA) solution. This patented solution accelerates accrual-based net revenue analysis and the month-end close process. Hundreds of hospitals and health systems and more than 3,000 clinics and ancillary service providers already use the Crowe RCA solution. Crowe is one of the largest public accounting, consulting and technology firms in the U.S.

The CNRA certification program assesses a professional’s knowledge, experience and commitment to understanding key net revenue concepts and the Crowe RCA platform. Professionals complete the certification through a standardized process that includes testing net revenue theory, technical skills and applications to confirm an individual’s knowledge.

“Net revenue analysts are niche specialists in the healthcare world and there isn’t really training available at the undergraduate or post-graduate level in this area,” said Andrew Holloway, Crowe healthcare advisory managing director. “We developed this certification program as way for professionals to validate their on-the-job learning experiences and deep expertise, helping them in their careers while also assisting health systems in finding these highly specialized candidates.”

The CNRA certification validates deep expertise in the following skills:

  • Performing the monthly close function using the Crowe RCA solution
  • Recognizing key valuation concepts in accounts receivable and how to apply them
  • Creating efficient net revenue processes
  • Mitigating risk on the balance sheet
  • Interpreting Crowe RCA reports to explain the net revenue being reported

To qualify for a CNRA certification, an applicant must be employed at a healthcare organization that is a current Crowe RCA client, have participated in estimating net revenue for at least two years and pass a proctored examination. Upcoming tests will take place in February, August and September of 2018. Self-study training materials and practice exams are available for registered participants.

To date, more than 45 professionals have achieved the CNRA certification.
