Following an application by the Central Bank of Ireland (Central Bank), the High Court has today appointed Mr Aiden Murphy and Mr Declan Hanly of Crowe Ireland as Joint Provisional Liquidators to Strand Investments & Finance Limited T/a 123 Financial Services (Strand).
Strand is authorised as an investment business firm/investment intermediary under the Investment Intermediaries Act 1995 and registered as an insurance intermediary under the European Union (Insurance Distribution) Regulations 2018 (full details are set out on the Central Bank’s register of regulated entities). Strand has its registered office and was operating from 15 Castlemaine Street, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. N37 V2Y5.
All existing clients of the regulated entity will be contacted by the Joint Provisional Liquidators in the coming days and will be provided with information on the next steps regarding their investments. The Joint Provisional Liquidators will be taking control of all client files and will be conducting a full assessment of the firm and clients’ investments.
