Crowe advises Crotty Insurance on acquisition of Martin Insurance
After advising Crotty Insurance on its sale of a majority stake to Global Risk Partners back in September last year, the Dublin-based Insurance firm is now on the acquisition trail itself.
Crowe was delighted to have supported Crotty Insurance Brokers on its recent acquisition of Martin Insurance, a family-based business in Cavan established in 1980 by Seamus Martin and now led by son James Martin. Martin Insurance provides a host of commercial insurance offerings including marine & cargo, construction, apartment block, motor fleet, PI and airside.
Crotty, founded by Finbarr Crotty in 1994, is one of the leading independent commercial insurance brokers in Dublin. Specialising in Renewable Energy, Construction and Professional Services industries, among others.
Eoin Green, CEO of Crotty Insurance said that the acquisition was a “big step forward” for the firm and that it was making no secret of its desire to grow inorganically when the right opportunities come along.
“Martin is a quality business and marks the first of what we hope will be a number of deals in the Republic of Ireland,” said Greene.
