Crowe is delighted to publish the 29th edition of the Ireland Annual Hotel Industry Survey.
This year's survey records a fall in EBITDAR Profits for hotels of €994 per room and a decline of EBITDAR margin of 1 percentage point. Year-on-year, Total Revenue per Room was at similar levels to 2023, however, the impact of higher payroll costs has caused a fall in profits and profitability.
The results show that profit levels remain above pre‑Covid 2019 benchmarks, highlighting a sector that continues to perform strongly despite ongoing cost pressures. The survey also captures hotelier sentiment as to their outlook for the sector, showing greater positivity on revenue growth and continuing concerns that higher operating costs will continue to compress overall profitability potential.
