Magdel van Schaik is a Director in our Company Secretarial department, where she leads a team of company secretaries and governance professionals in the delivery of strategic governance and compliance solutions. Magdel is a Chartered Secretary and a member of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland with over 16 years’ experience in corporate governance, company law and regulatory compliance. She holds a Master of Science in Management and Corporate Governance from Ulster University and a Bachelor of Laws from Griffith College.
Magdel oversees and manages a broad and diverse client portfolio and plays a key role in the development and execution of the firm’s company secretarial services, including:
- Company formations and annual statutory compliance
- Corporate restructurings and group reorganisations
- Share capital maintenance
- Voluntary strike-offs and dissolutions
- Board advisory and governance services
- Director and shareholder support services
As a principal point of contact for clients, Magdel is committed to fostering a collaborative working relationship underpinned by technical precision and commercially focused advice. She works in close partnership with the Audit and Tax departments to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions that support clients throughout their corporate lifecycle.
Outside of work, Magdel enjoys traveling, sport, stand-up comedy and going to music gigs.
