New level of protected salary in 2022

In 2022, the net salary for enforcement of debt payment is HRK 7,086.00.

• If the employee's (debtor's) net salary is higher than HRK 7,086.00, two thirds of the average net salary, i.e. HRK 4,724.00 (7,086.00 / 3 x 2) is exempt from payment enforcement.
• If the employee's (debtor's) net salary is less than HRK 7,086.00, the following is exempt from enforcement:
  • HRK 4,724.00 - if the net salary is higher than HRK 6,298.66
  • 3/4 of the employee's net salary - if the net salary is less than (or equal to) HRK 6,298.66

The stated salary amounts (which determine the salary amounts protected from debt enforcement) applies to salary payments made in January 2022 and onwards.
