Registers and Reporting of Changes

• Register of Beneficial Owners: changes in beneficial ownership (or any changes to the ownership structure) must be reported within 30 days of the change.
• Croatian National Bank: foreign equity investments must be reported within one month following the end of the month in which the investment was made.

Personal Data Protection

• GDPR: every company in Croatia is required to maintain an up-to-date record of processing activities and to have in place privacy policies, data processing agreements with processors, and other documentation demonstrating compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  

Employment

• Employee records: proper maintenance and regular updating of data on each employee and their employment.
• Working time records: daily keeping of records for each employee.
• Salary transparency: timely preparation for the new rules, including a review of the employment by-law and the criteria used to determine salary.
• Employers with 20 or more employees: adoption of employment by-law, compliance with the statutory quota for the employment of persons with disabilities, appointment of a person authorised to receive and resolve complaints relating to the protection of employees’ dignity, and appointment of a person authorised to supervise the processing of employees’ personal data.
• Employers with 50 or more employees: adoption of by-law detailing the internal irregularities reporting procedure and appointment of a confidential person.
