Event details

Please join us for a “Bank Captive 101” Seminar on Monday, June 17 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Ritz Carlton in Dallas. The event will be hosted by Crowe LLP and KeyState Captive Management LLC.

Immediately following the seminar, we invite you to join us for a cocktail reception and dinner during which the group will be joined by bankers from across the country who are in Dallas for our annual Bank Captive Peer Summit. It will be a great opportunity for you to learn more about how banks utilize captives directly from bankers who have them.

For any bankers who would like to take a deeper dive into the way bank captive insurance works and interacts with a bank’s commercial insurance program, we invite you to stay for additional captive insurance education sessions on Tuesday, June 18 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. CPE hours will be issued for Tuesday’s sessions.

More information on the Bank Captive Program

The Bank Captive Program has been endorsed by the TBA Services Company and offers larger banks with over $750 million in assets the opportunity to form wholly-owned captive insurance companies. Forming a captive allows a bank to formalize its self-insurance program, to realize efficiencies and savings related to insurance expenses and loss mitigation, and to potentially take advantage of a small business incentive available under IRC §831(b) if organized and operated properly.  Your bank fits the profile for the Bank Captive Program.  Over eighty banks across the country have joined the Bank Captive Program since it was launched in 2012. Twenty-eight state banking associations or their related service companies have endorsed the Bank Captive Program.
