Overview

On March 11, 2026,  Crowe MacKay & Company Ltd. was appointed as receiver (the "Receiver") without security, of all the assets, undertakings, and property of Five Star Charters Ltd. (the “Company”). The Company provided whale watching tours out of Victoria, British Columbia.

The Receiver is currently soliciting offers to:

• purchase the Company’s assets, majority of which include the Company’s two passenger vessels, Kuluta and SuperCat (collectively, the “Vessels”);
• purchase the business operations; or
• submit a proposal to act as broker or sales agent in respect of the Vessels.

Please see the Call for Offers letter below for further information. All bids / proposals must be submitted to the Receiver by no later than 2:00PM (Pacific) on April 27, 2026.

On August 10, 2026, the Receiver filed a Notice of Application seeking approval for the sale of the Vessels. The hearing took place on August 21, 2026, and the Court approved the sale of the Vessels. Copies of the application materials are available below.
