We are always looking to build our firm with teammates who emulate our values. One of our most recent additions to our Partnership is Pejman Mahlooji — Pej. Pej joined the Crowe MacKay Vancouver office in the fall of 2018 as one of the leaders in our public company audit and advisory practice. On his first day, Pej travelled to Miami to meet colleagues within the Crowe Global network, and since then has been working closely with other Crowe offices and clients in Africa, Europe, and South America, on various audit and advisory engagements; this was all just foreshadowing his role in our global business development. Pej has just recently returned from a trip to Chile, visiting our local Crowe office in Santiago, and meeting with mining executives while touring one of our client’s mining operations.
Where does Pej’s expertise lie? One look at his portfolio and you will see his extensive experience with large global Public Companies (Pubco). With a diverse knowledge of many industries including mining, technology, and manufacturing, he works with complex public companies with offices and operations around the world.
No day is the same in Pubco. With the opportunity to learn all aspects of accounting and various industries, Pej finds himself interacting directly with controllers, CFOs, and CEOs of multi-million dollar companies. His proactive approach in decision making contributes to his clients success, and is what distinguishes Crowe MacKay as a firm in the industry:

Pej is also an active member on Crowe Global’s Audit Process Committee, as well as the Global Growth Committee. On the Audit Process Committee, Pej is immersed in audit quality, which is at the center of his expertise, striving for improvement and innovation across the network. He oversees and updates methodologies and technology applications within the Crowe Global Audit practice. Additionally, Pej works with other global Committee members to oversee the short and long term vision of the audit process. As a Global Audit Process Committee member, Pej is on the pulse with the latest exposure drafts that impact our firm as well as our clients. With the information he accumulates, he shares his comments with international accounting bodies. One of the biggest benefits for our clients is that Pej is exposing relevant information to our global clients, enhancing our expertise.
As a member of the Global Growth Committee, Pej collaborates with other Crowe offices around the world to ensure clients are being served with the relevant industry specific expertise and assists with the implementation of business development and growth initiatives.
