David Tung

David leads the SR&ED and Business Tax Incentives service line for Crowe MacKay LLP. He is a problem solver with strong analytical skills and a client-centered approach to his work. He has always had a strong focus on his communication and client relationships. His areas of expertise include accounting and tax, business development, leadership and training, SR&ED (Scientific Research and Experimental Development taxes), and BC IDMTC (BC Interactive Digital Media Tax Credits). 

David has almost 30 years of extensive experience in the accounting industry. He began his career at a small, independent accounting firm working with small and medium-sized businesses to whom he provided full-cycle accounting services. While working at a large national firm, David gained experience in project management, and provided insights and solutions on complex tax issues and tax credits. While there, in addition to being a national SR&ED resource, he developed the BC IDMTC service line and continued to help improve the processes of existing service lines. The industries David provides expert consultation in, include but are not limited to: biopharmaceuticals, BC IDMTC, consumer products, food and beverage, life science, and oil and gas. David has significant experience in defending taxpayer submissions.  His assistance with CRA’s SR&ED claim audits has ensured claimants obtain fair outcomes.
