Daniel’s primary areas of focus are business valuations and litigation support, fair value for financial reporting, and corporate finance activities. A Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Daniel is also Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). With over 20 years of experience, Daniel has been involved in hundreds of valuations and litigation support assignments across a wide range of industries. He provides independent, expert reports and testimony in connection with business valuations, litigation support, and forensic reviews and investigations.
He has qualified before the British Columbia Supreme Court and focuses on family law, personal injury, shareholder dispute, and commercial litigation assignments. Daniel provides valuations of intangible assets for financial reporting purposes, including preparing purchase price allocation, goodwill and intangible asset impairment reports.
He also performs valuations in connection with the purchase and sale of business interests, performs due diligence services (quality of earnings reports), and assists both purchasers and sellers in the negotiation of terms for the purchase. Daniel provides valuations in respect of corporate reorganizations; estate planning assignments; management buy outs; going private transactions (fairness opinions); and formal valuations.
